I was looking for a NLT journaling Bible and this one came highly recommended. I purchased it online since it was softcover and I had mental images of being in bed all cozy and reading my favourite Bible stories while making notes and colouring.
Unfortunately while this is a beautiful Bible with lots of writing and colouring space, I’m not a fan of the pages. I feel like they’re too thin and even when using colouring pencils, there’s a strange texture that goes through the pages that have been coloured. Nonetheless this was a birthday present for me so I am still reading it. This will be my first time reading the entire Bible in NLT (I previously started in KJV and switched to NLT when reading the Prophets) and I’m looking forward to it even if the Bible itself isn’t what I expected.
